Bacterial meningitis is an inflammation of the lining of the brain caused by bacteria, the most attacking infants and children under 2 years old and elderly people above 65 years.
There are 3 causes of bacterial meningitis:
- Streptococcus pneumoniae
- Haemophilus influenzae type b
- Niessseria meningitides
Bacterial meningitis is a rare disease, but this disease is a serious disease and can be life threatening if not promptly obtain appropriate treatment. If from the beginning to get proper treatment, meningitis can be cured. Vaccination is the first step to protect at least reduce the risk in infants and children infected with this bacteria.

- Fever
- Rigid on the nape
- Fidget and crying constantly
- Hard to Eat
- Awareness Descending
- Weak
- The intensity of interaction decreases
For Child
- Fever
- Rigid on the nape
- Headache
- Nausea and vomiting
- Awareness Descending
- Sudden attack
- Photophobia (dislike bright light)
